Basic passive income to Advance worker guide BDO

Passive income guide

I'm going to write this guide having very little knowledge about you and your worker situations. I just hope it helps you get a bit more passive worker income, all of these nodes i weigh on what type of value they can get you on the Auction House for the raw materials. If you do process them into higher grade items you can and will, always get more for it. the more you do, the more you earn. But passive is the way i like it because i'm lazy as shit ! So lets get into it =D

* Only get or use Profession or Artisan workers. If you need to, wait for them to post on the auction. They do make a huge difference.

#1 - Olvia Grape node - Almost always instantly sells on the auction for max price Because its the "ONLY FRUIT NODE" and its needed for "A LOT" of high end recipes.

#2 Velia - here we have a total of 5 nodes, there are 3 i would want new people to start on first and that's, the 3 nodes with wheat and chicken right outside the city, the wheat node on the left doesn't have chicken but wheat is an instant seller for beer, or use it to feed the workers your going to have now =) Regardless its good passive income if you buy beer instead. The next 2 nodes are the 2 mining nodes closest to town they yield a good amount of silver when sold on the auction.

#3 Heidel - The main node of importance is the Honey node in the upper left, it yields good silver when sold raw, as well as the mining and wheat nodes are also a good source of income and beer material's.

#4 Calpheon - 3 investments here, 1 for a timber node that gives us Red tree knots, they sell great on the auction, the rest is wheat which also sells great and can be used for beer mats, although at this point you have a lot of beer materials so you should never run out of beer. You can make beer and sell it for some extra $$$ when you get to this point.. your going to have a lot of excess materials.

I got all of these Nodes, -1 worker with 55 CP, If you have Artisan workers your going to be above 5 mil silver a day passive *Maybe 6 or 7 mil a day im missing 4 nodes becuase im looking for workers to hop on them, that's a good extra starting cash and an easy 150 mil a month for a starting player if your lucky on workers. Pro's go up all the time.

You need to look for workers consistently during this process. Always watch for alerts for when artisan workers are going on the auction, it takes 10 min to post them, so get to a worker exchange ASAP if you see them, They are 100% worth it, and remember if you get skills on workers you don't like, you can change them once the worker hits max 30. He gets 2 chances, and he can re-max to 30 for more chances to change skills. it takes a while.

So! I hope this helps and it is just a start, Ill hopefully be able to edit this as i go! or this is just a one and done show haha.

Worker Breakdown

Goblins are Fast  and Don't carry a lot of weight when coming to heavy items, so use them on light and close nodes like wheat's / Grape node etc.

Humans are the best overall for everything but goblins are better for light materials and Giants are better for Heavy, These are a happy medium between fast and efficient and they also give a better Luck bonus, which can mean more rare item turn ins from nodes.

Giants are best for heavy materials and are slow, they carry more weight which means more turn ins. Best for heavier nodes and Long distance nodes good for Mining / Timber, also good at making crates!! they tend to make more because they have more energy and you dont have to feed them as often, good for AFK players.

If your always gone and dont have time to feed workers consistently. Honestly Use Artisian Giants for everything, Make sure you get them max movement and working speed stats, if your putting them on wheat nodes make sure they have farming bonus for +5% speed on the node. you shouldn't have to worry about feeding them for about 6 - 8 hours.

Node Breakdown
Some say if you Upgrade the node level you get more items from workers, but its not after a few levels, so might as well wait and save your energy for Farming and getting sharp / hard stones.

If you look at a node Investment screen like this one bellow ----------

You will see these 4 lines of text, workload, work speed, Distance, Movement speed.

The node Itself has a set workload that is set by the community itself, for everyone using the node the difficulty goes up, In this case, Because the work load is 150, Your going to want a worker with a work speed of Intially 150 and above, this will give you a Perfect worker match-up and you will get more for the work, If you have not enough work speed, you wont get as much from it. Giants have a slower work speed but would do greater over that longer distance. And because the item your gathering does not have a *Bonus item* Don't use the human, Use those on Nodes that give more then 1 item, Ex. Node by Calpheon with timber and Red tree knot.

Importance of Tools and Gathering
Gathering goes hand and hand with this guide. You should gather as much as you can to make the biggest profit margin possible. Buying things like hides on the market is a massive waste, and its almost never there. And with gathering, comes hards and sharps.
With tool production, your best course of action is to pre-plan what you need a day in advance. Study your stock pile a bit, and see whats going to run out. We want to produce 5-10 grade yellow tools for the supplies we need, and put a HUMAN worker on the task. A human worker has the highest luck%, and will proc the most amount of Lucky Tools for us to work with. On average, with 10 tools made, 1-3 will be Lucky. We take the excess unlucky tools, and sell them to break even (Pure Iron Crystal=90k-ish. Tool=103k-ish).
With the constant use of Lucky Tools, we should walk away with 1-3 hard/sharps per tool used. On average, a Artisan gatherer with about 250 energy, will use 2-3 tools on full energy (I normally get through 2, and 50-100 dura on the last).

Breakdown behind the madness
So what exactly earns us money? What can we mass produce to make that 100m a day?! Well, for the sake of google searches ruining my operation, I really would like to not post my personal operation on this thread. Some of you redditors have it, but I'd like to keep it a somewhat secret so my profit margins don't suddenly get nuked :(
But, lets go over key items to make! Some of these I do personally make, some I don't. This part is going to require your own trial and error, and your own mix and matching, but for the sake of causing you all to not rip your hair out, 95% of your profit can, and should, be made in Heidel. You'll save massive amounts of CP this way.
  • Costumes They are amazing for a quick buck. Some types take a while to sell, and can clog up your market for hours at a time, and some sell like hot cakes!
  • Tools Seeing as gathering plays a heavy role in our operation, tool production IS A MUST to any high profit operation. Your best method of utalizing this, is to make 5-10 yellow grade tools at a time, depending on what you're looking to gather. Use a human on it, and you should proc between 1-3 lucky tools. Now you can sell the excess unlucky ones for a quick flip (the profit margin isn't that great on these, seeing as Pure Iron Crystals go for around 100k, and the tools go for about 103k. But if you make your own Metal Solvent, and Pure Crystals, thats all profit).
  • Ultimate Reform Stones I'm leaking this secret, only because these things are constantly pre-ordered, and I doubt the market will tank on them. But they are a MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR money maker. With the nodes I listed above, you'll passively gather all the materials needed to produce Grade 3 Armor/Weapon Reform Stones. With the hards/sharps we gather, any excess ones can be used to make these(10 Grade 3+1 Hard/Sharp=Ultimate Reform Stone). It essentially doubles your profit on any hards and sharps you find, and they're constantly pre-ordered. With 2 bases of operation out of Heidel, I make roughly 40-50 mil a day from these.
  • Armor and Weapons Avoid low tier armor and weapons. Steel Taritas, and Grunil will net you the most for armor, and high AP off hands will net you the most for weapons.
  • Horse Gear Big money maker here. But lots of gathering required to have a good production stream going. Worth getting into.
Worker Income VS Crafted Income
Now there are two types of "crafting" you can do to earn a lot of money. The first, is everything we just listed above. We'll call that Worker Income. The other, is Crafted Income. Some of the nodes we have set up, are for Crafted Income. These apply to Imperial Traders, and cooking/alchemy. You'll notice I have a fish node out in Velia. This is for Crafted Income.
My method to this side of crafting, is to save these materials in bulk, craft a ton of them on the weekends, then slowly sell them over the upcoming week. This works especially well with Trade Packs, and Imperial Trade Packs. (I'll let someone with better knowledge handle the Trade Packs guide :P).

Ending Notes
I'd like to very quickly stress, that running a worker empire is A LOT of afk work. It's a ton of gathering, lots of afk processing, and micro management. It's not for everyone, and some of these methods might stress people out. I'm writing this guide as a brief summary showing people that making insane amounts of money IS possible without grinding 12 hours a day. But to make any sizable amount of money, it does require effort.

I hope you all Enjoy this writeup. Took some effort. should be worth a read over. Not just for the passive income guys either.
